FAQWhat distinguishes OEMETRIX from other companies?
Since 1939, OEMETRIX has continually improved upon a manufacturing and inventory control system that was designed with one key objective – to build a company that will consistently exceed the expectations of our customers. With every order and every shipment, we insure our customers have the exact products they need, when they need them and where they need them. We accomplish this by producing your parts in our factories, under the control of our management and quality teams who are intimately involved throughout the tooling, production, packaging and shipping process. Additionally, your goods are stocked in our own Long Island, NY warehouse where our logistics team carefully monitors and fine-tunes your inventory program as required. How do you differ from a trading company or importer?
Trading companies and importers merely handle paperwork and hire or subcontract out to others the production of your goods. This means you are involved in a third party transaction and not working directly with the manufacturer. In contrast, OEMETRIX produces your goods in our factory under our control. What about your lead times? I’ve heard they are very long from overseas.
Our lead times are very competitive with those you will find domestically. During the initial stages of your first order, time will be required to make tools and provide you with samples. During this process we will keep you fully informed of your project’s progress. Once initial production is complete and in-house, our custom stocking and back-up inventory management programs will insure your goods are available to ship from our Long Island, NY warehouse within 24 hours and in most cases, the same day. Is it true that overseas factories prefer large quantity orders?
Although it is true for many companies, importers and trading houses, OEMETRIX, as a factory owner, is focused more on building relationships with you, not your order volume. We underscore flexibility throughout our company and we understand that your needs vary greatly across your different product lines. We recognize the demands you face; we design our programs to meet those needs whether they be for short, medium or long production runs. How can I be assured that I will have product when I need it?
At OEMETRIX, we understand the importance of your line getting goods on-time, every time. Therefore, each customer is assigned a team of component and hardware specialists. This team will work with your staff to develop a stocking/delivery program to insure your inventory requirements are optimized. Our team will work with your purchasing professionals to tailor stock levels to meet your production demands with built-in stop-gaps to insure demand spikes are met smoothly. How can I obtain a quote from OEMETRIX?
Our team of engineers can work from your drawings, samples or proto-types. We can work directly with your engineering or purchasing professionals, whichever you prefer. Once we have obtained your pertinent technical information along with projected usage details, we will expeditiously prepare a quotation structured specifically with your needs in mind. It will include piece price, tooling investment (if any), sample and production schedules and an inventory stocking proposal. Should we receive your approval, our team will immediately put your project in motion. How does your inventory management program work?
Our inventory management program tailors stock levels to meet your production demands with built in stop-gaps to insure demand spikes are met smoothly. We work closely with your purchasing and expediting areas to become a seamless extension of your team by providing you with monthly inventory and order status reports, carefully monitoring your activity, and maintaining backup stock both here and at our factories. Our company is engineering oriented. How can we work closely with an engineer who is overseas?
You won’t have to. At all times we have an engineer here in our NY office. He is available to work closely with your engineering team on any projects they currently have in development. As part of your support team, an engineer will be assigned to your account to assist with any technical points that may arise. Additionally, he is available for visits to your facility. |
